Daily Creativity is our right. With it, we renew, thrive and embolden ourselves and our communities. This creative writing session will deep dive into creative tips and motivational tools that can boost and expand student writing through inspirational prompts, rich-text models and hands-on practice. From crafting a personal creative manifesto to brainstorming a literary piece (flash fiction, prose poem or micro- memoir), participants will explore how to help students develop daily creative writing habits and accountability checklists. Like Maya Angelou wrote, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” Get more. Share more.

Author Visits  & Writing Workshops for Elementary Schools

Using CCSS standards students enjoy a  fun and interactive program. The program includes students critical thinking and discussing environmental social justice issues in small groups, which leads the way for agency and taking a critical stance through writing.

Program also includes pre and post Author visit worksheets, feedback, and extended responses for teachers and parents.  Below are previous places where young people have enjoyed Jen's presentations.
