Chicago Gratitude Gatherings Collabs
I’m thrilled to share that I’m partnering with Allison from Trees & Tranquility, a widely respected, Chicago based forest guide practitioner, to bring a special Earth Week experience to our community. And I’m grateful that Green Literacy will be supporting us with resources to help deepen our connection to nature and each other.
Together, we’re hosting a Gratitude Gathering is 60‑minute guided nature experience where we’ll slow down, breathe, and celebrate the Earth. You can expect gentle guided meditations, mindful exploration, community connection, and a few take‑home resources to keep the inspiration going.
We’ll meet at the Horner Park Nature Play Area, and we would love for you to join us.

My Journey Into the Forest Bathing
In October 2025, I graduated from the Forest Therapy School with a certificate as a Forest Guide. Yet, what I truly earned was something far deeper — a renewed way of seeing the world around me.
The city of Chicago, often thought of as a place of noise and motion, became my classroom. In the still mornings of Humboldt Park, the dappled light of Garfield Park, and the whispering trails of Thatcher Woods, I learned to listen — not just to birdsong or wind through leaves, but to the quiet language of presence. Each walk revealed that nature is not elsewhere; it’s here, waiting for us between the hours and habits of our busy lives.
Through this journey, I discovered how even a few moments outdoors can reshape the spirit. The forest offers a kind of medicine — steady, ancient, and patient — reminding us that we are not apart from nature, but a part of it.
Now, I guide forest walks in parks and preserves throughout the Chicago area, and each month at the Indiana Dunes. My hope is to share this simple truth: that when we step into the forest, we step closer to ourselves.

Below are some poems and photographs I took while I was studying and what eventually turned into my final project.
